Studying on motorcycle ownership and use in Ho Chi Minh City not only once again confirms that Vietnam is a “pure” motorcycle but also “denounces” the leading causes of traffic accidents involving motorcycles. More serious and worthy of warning is the result of the study on the causes of traffic accidents involving children in HCM City. It is estimated that between 2013 and 2015, the number of traffic accidents involving youth under age 18 increased by 190%. The number of fatalities increased by 217%, of which deaths from traffic accidents in high school students increased from 10 per 100,000 to 32.5 per 100,000.
